On this Newgrange and Whiskey Tasting Private tour, you will explore the ancient order of Ireland. From its very first settlers to the Celts, the Viking, the Normans and Ireland’s long struggle for its independence as a nation.

As this is a Private Tour you can choose where you would like to visit. You could visit Trim Castle. Which is Europe’s Largest Norman castle. It is the film location for “Brave Heart” about William Wallace and Scotland’s fight for independence.

Visit the famous monument of Newgrange – UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The monument sits close to the Boyne River and is older than the Pyramids. It is also astrologically aligned to the rising sun of the winter solstice. Without doubt it remains to be one of the most mysterious monuments in Ireland.

Slane Castle and Whiskey Tasting.

As the title of this tour suggests we will bring you whiskey tasting at Slane Castle. The Home to the Conyngham family since 1703. It is famous in Ireland due to the large concerts that are held here with acts from “the Rolling Stones”, “Guns n Roses” to “U2” and “Queen” to name a few.

The owners of this castle have recently started to produce their own Irish whiskey called “Slane Whiskey”.  You can take a tour of this incredible building with a great insight of how this family once lived and how they live today. Then you can enjoy some whiskey tasting at the distillery on site and sample some of its fine produce.

These are just some of the highlights that you could enjoy on this private tour of the Boyne Valley, which we like to call our “Newgrange and Whiskey Tasting Tour”.

There are also other places of interest in the Boyne Valley such as the Hill of Tara, Monasterboice, the choice is yours.
