The Mountains are saturated with a patch work of forests, glens, lakes and waterfalls and whether your doing the 3 or 5-day tour we will set the walks to suit your pace and needs.
Wicklow has always been and still remains a place of great inspiration to poets and writers alike. It is steeped in Irish history of resurrection and in the heart of Glendalough there are the remains of the 6th Century Monastery of St. Kevin.

Itinerary
Itinerary: 3 or 5 Day Walking Tour in Wicklow
Your adventure starts with a Pickup at Suffolk Street (Molly Malone Statue) @ 09:20am.
Day 1: Scenic Day tour of Wicklow, Guided walk – Stay Glendalough.
From Dublin center you will travel south into the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park. On the drive we will visit Enniskerry, film location of “P.S. I love you” and “Leap Year”. Glencree, the Sally Gap, Lough Tay, The Guinness family Estate and film location of “Brave Heart” as we make our way towards Glendalough.
The walk today is just a 1.5 hrs short walk near the town of Enniskerry.
Though this is an easy walk, it offers wonderful views across Irish Coastline and the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
After our walk, we stop for lunch in Enniskerry before continuing on farther south in the afternoon. We will visit Glendalough and one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. This is a fantastic location for walking and hiking with a beautiful peaceful valley and lakes.
Then you will be brought to your accommodation to relax for the evening while you discover the beauty of Glendalough.
We will be staying at a Guesthouse in Glendalough for next two nights.
Day 2: The Spinc and Glenealo Valley Walk – Glendalough
The Spinc and Glenealo Valley Loop Walk: Grade: moderate, Length: approx. 12km, Duration: 3-4hrs, Ascent: 380m, Terrain: Forest track, open hillside and boardwalk.
This walk is one of the finest walking trails in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and Glendalough. It rises high above the upper lake and offers breath-taking views of the whole valley.
We will be Starting today’s walk from the monastic site of St Kevin in Glendalough, this is one of the most beautiful walks in the area. It is a looped walk which brings you around the upper lake and gives wonderful views of the valley below. There will be plenty of stops along the way to take some pictures and take in the scenery around us.
You will be passing by an old mining village from the early 1800s, an ancient Celtic King’s cemetery, a wonderful waterfall and some forested area with a mix of Scot Pines, Beech and silver birch trees.
We will be stopping along the way to have a snack at a scenic location looking down the whole valley.
When we arrive back to Glendalough it’s time to relax, before freshening up and enjoying a meal.
Day 3: Powerscourt Waterfall & Gardens, The Wicklow Way – Enniskerry.
This morning we will leave Glendalough and travel to Coolakay near Enniskerry. On the way we will stop to pick-up some snacks for our walk.
This walk offers the best views across Powerscourt Waterfall as well as the Wicklow Coastline and the surrounding countryside.
Our walk today starts from Crone wood. We will be following part of the Wicklow Way trail through a forested area and out onto the side of Ireland’s highest Waterfall “Powerscourt”.
Following the trail up and along this waterfall we come out to an opening and cross an old stone wall and onto a path leading up to the top of Maulin, where we can stop for a bite to eat. The man-made features in this beautiful part of Wicklow, dry stone walls, romantic little cottages, fields bearing the marks of long-gone potato ridges.
From here we will follow a ridge in an easterly direction towards a dry-stone wall and follow this back down through a forest trail back to where we started.
Afterwards we will visit The Powerscourt Gardens in Enniskerry. They were voted 3rd the best gardens in the World by the National Geographic and are really worth visiting while in the area.
Those on the 5-day tour will be staying in Enniskerry for the next two nights.
For those on the 3-day tour we say goodbye to Wicklow and take the scenic drive through Glencree valley and back to Dublin.
Day 4: Wicklow Way Trail to Johnny Fox’s Pub or the Sugarloaf Mountain
There is a choice of walk today and we will need to put out to the group.
The Wicklow Way Trail to Johnny Fox’s Pub: Grade: moderate, Length: approx. 8km, Duration: 3hrs, Ascent: 280m, Terrain: Forest track and road.
The walk starts in Curtlestown wood and follows a section of the Wicklow Way traveling north. It is very well marked and rises at the start up and around Prince William’s seat hill. From here it traverses around the side giving excellent views across Dublin and its bay. The track then starts to through another forest and eventually out on to a small road, turn right here and follow the road for about 2Km to Johnny Fox’s Pub.
Sugarloaf Way Trail (Loop Walk): Grade: moderate, Length approx. 8km, Duration: 3hrs, Ascent: 340m, Terrain: Old quite road and open mountain trails.
This walk starts and finishes at Pluck’s Pub – Kilmacanogue. It is a beautiful walk along old country lane-ways, passing lovely little cottages along the way. There are wonderful views across the sea with the Glen of the Downs and the Irish Sea in front of you.
The Sugarloaf walk is a very popular walk for locals in this area gives wonderful views across the Irish Coastline of Dublin and Wicklow. On a clear day you can make out Snowdonia in Wales or the Mountains of Mourne in Northern Ireland.
Whichever walk we choose to do, I’m sure you will love it. After our walk we can take a scenic drive back towards Enniskerry.
In the evening you can enjoy something to eat in one of the restaurants.
Day 5: Coastal walk – Greystones to Bray, Return to Dublin.
After breakfast and we will drive to the small town of Greystone’s on Wicklow Coastline.
Greystones to bray Coastal Walk. Grade: easy, Length approx. 7km, Duration: 2hrs, Ascent: 140m, Terrain: Marked trails and cliff side tracks.
The Cliff Walk goes from Greystones to Bray and is one of the most popular attractions the small seaside town of Bray has to offer. The Cliff Walk is about 7Km long. It takes about 2 hours to complete and is suitable for all abilities.
The Cliff Walk follows the coastline and boasts some of the most amazing views of the East Coast. The Cliff has a rich history and is brimming with wildlife and colorful flowers.
The small seaside town of Bray used to be a very popular holiday spot during the Victorian times and still has a very English feel to it, with its long promenade and sea front amusements.
We will then make our way back to Dublin along Dublin’s Sea front.
We will arrive back to Dublin in the afternoon.

Walks and Fitness Levels:
The walks on this tour are of a mixed level with the option on some days to shorten.
All the walks are taken at a pace to suit the group.
The groups can range from 6 to 16 people in size with a mixed level of fitness and age usually.
If the weather is too bad on a certain day to do the suggested walk, then the guide will suggest an alternative one.
The Guide will have the final say on the day about the walk for the safety of the group.
