About The Walk: This is part of the Wicklow Way, a trail that travels south from Dublin for approx 128Km to Clonegal in Co.Carlow. We will be doing part of the last section of this walk between Shillelagh and Clonegal. This a very flat part of the Wicklow Way although there are some small hils along the way.
We know that there is a very important Rugby game on this day starting at 2pm, so for this reason we are going to offer a shorten version of the walk on the day for those of you who would like to be at the Telly in a cosy pub in Wicklow to watch it …..
We have also organised some finger food at Osbourne’s Pub (Great old pub in Clonegal)
The trail is very well laid out and good for walking on. The track goes from parkland to small roads, open mountain tops and through wonderful forest trails and of course a nice pub at the end.
What to expect: Forest track, open mountain top, old boreens paths, panoramic views across south Wicklow
What to Bring for you day walk.
Suitable walking boots, Rain gear, warm clothes, flask of hot drink, WATER, snack,
good socks, hat and gloves and spare top in bag.
