Taking in both the "Seamus Heaney" and the Waterfall walks.
Walking time: approx 3 - 4 hrs: 9Km. Ascent 120m
Graded: Easy - Moderate
Meeting: 10:45am at Devil's Glen (Forest entrance)
There will be transport supplied for this walk.
Pickups: Maldron Hotel, Tallaght 9:30am and Luas Balally (Dundrum) at 10:00am
About the walk: This is a fantastic easy type walk in this wonderful valley with a mix of both Deciduous and Conifer trees. The walk is made all the more enchanting by the artistic installations within the woodland. The Devil’s Glen was once part of the Glanmore estate, the former ancestral home of John Millington Synge
The valley itself was carved out by the last ice age leaving a steep descent for the Vartry river and a very dramatic landscape.

What to Bring for you day walk.
Suitable walking boots, Rain gear, warm clothes, The ground could be wet bring gaiters if you have them. flask of hot drink, WATER, small lunch,
good socks, hat and gloves and spare top in bag.
How to get there by car: (From Dublin)
Take the N11 from Dublin to the Ashford turn off. Then take the R763 to the entrance of the Devil’s Glen.
